Video Poker

Video poker is a casino game based on five-card draw poker played on a computerized console. It is similar in size to a slot machine, being a version of poker where you can play by yourself.

When playing a bet of one or more credits must be placed by inserting money into the machine. After this process the "Deal" button is pressed to draw cards. The player is then given an opportunity to keep or discard one or more of the cards in exchange for a new card drawn from the same virtual deck. Following this, the machine evaluates the hand and offers a payout if the hand matches one of the winning hands in the posted pay schedule. There’s no need to sit at a table and compete against other players, you can choose to stand up and walk away anytime you like. If you would like to hang on to any of your original cards, hit the “hold” button or simply click on the card itself. Once you have chosen which cards you want to hold click the “Draw” button and your new cards will be revealed and in case your new five card hand makes up a winning combination the computer will automatically credit your account.

On a typical video poker machine, payouts start with a minimum hand of a pair of jacks while some machines offer progressive jackpots for the royal flush, thereby spurring players to both play more coins and to play more frequently. What all video poker games have in common is that they are all a version of the classic “draw” poker where your goal is to end up with a 5 card hand of some type of winning combination.

As it has a multitude of interesting variations, video poker is among the top chosen games when a player lounges for thrilling entertainment.
